Tyndrum Pottery
Ethically sourced, sustainably produced
Tyndrum Pottery is as much about people as it is about pots. In village halls, schools, and community centres, we invite folk to sit at the wheel and feel clay move through their hands. It’s a chance to switch off from the stresses of everyday life and discover not just a craft but a quiet, meditative rhythm. Working with clay encourages focus, slows the mind, and offers a hands-on way to release tension. Shaping clay from nothing fosters creativity, builds confidence, and leaves a real sense of accomplishment.
In rural communities where opportunities for shared creative experiences are rare, pottery does more than teach a skill, it brings people together. Workshops and clay clubs create spaces for connection, collaboration, and mutual support. Participants gain a sense of ownership and pride in what they make, strengthening local bonds in the process.
We don’t just stop at workshops. We support communities to take the next step by providing materials and access to studio equipment, helping independent clay clubs run more regularly, sustainably, and affordably. At festivals, we bring the magic of pottery to large crowds, giving everyone a chance to experience the joy of making while helping keep this ancient craft alive and accessible.
All of this is rooted in place. Our ceramics are crafted in the Highlands with respect for the land. We use sustainable practices and ethically sourced materials, including flecks of alluvial gold gathered from local burns. Every piece carries a story of the people, the landscape, and the traditions that shape it.
